*Please call for more information regarding Rates and Rates for IVF/IUI support.
Insurance & Credit Cards accepted
Karen is currently “out of network” acupuncture provider for most insurance companies. This means you pay the full rate upfront and your insurance company may reimburse you if you have a PPO or POS only. If you have HMO your insurance company will not reimburse you.
How does insurance reimbursement work? After treatment, one of the practitioners will provide you with a signed superbill that has all their provider information and medical codes on it. You then submit this superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement. You can submit it via fax or by mail. If you have acupuncture “out of network” benefits then there is a possibility you will get reimbursed by your insurance company. You must check with them first to confirm and even then you may not receive reimbursement.
How do you know if you have acupuncture out of network benefits? You will have to contact your insurance provider and ask them what your benefits are. Contact information for your insurance company can usually be found on your insurance card. Keep in mind that they only cover pain related conditions. So if you are coming in for fertility, allergies, or digestive issues your insurance company will not reimburse you.
Additional Services:
Cupping
Cupping involves the use of round vacuum cups that suck up the superficial layers of skin to enhance blood circulation in specific areas of the body. The cups can either remain in a fixed position or moved over a large surface area with oil massaged on the skin. Moving cupping feels like a massage. This may produce a deep redness, discoloration on the skin, which may persist for a few days. These marks are not an indication of complication or injury and resolve on their own.
